There's a difference, though, between fearing my powers because of what they can do, and fearing them because they're magic.

I know that look- the Order had me go through more than my fair share of "nonbelievers".

First, the Order's beliefs are not my own.

Second, I only find it annoying that you won't even consider the possibility of what I'm suggesting.

I'm just finding it difficult to believe, that's all. If I had any abilities, I'd think they would've manifested by now, in some way.

Maybe, maybe not. All I know is that I've never knowingly done anything magical, aside from break you out of the relic -- and even that was still an accident.

That is a long time to be stuck somewhere you don't want to be.

But the fact that you would have been willing to free me based on my circumstances alone is-- I appreciate it. Truly.

[ He laughs a little at that before lapsing into silence for a few seconds. ]

[ He looks thoughtful, then, ] Well, you can apparently control minds and capture people in-- some sort of void thing. And you're a healer. Any other cool tricks I'm missing?

My own speed and strength are above that of the average human, but I have the ability to boost yours as well. I have some elemental spells pertaining to fire and corrosion, mostly.

[ There's a flash of light at her back, and a pair of wings appear. They're an interesting combination of bright orange flame and dripping green acid. She hovers a few inches off the ground. ]

[ he lighting is strange, thanks to her wings, so he probably can't see the hint of color that touches her cheeks. But her expression definitely says that she doesn't get compliments like that often. Or ever. ]
