[ He lets out a low whistle. ]

[ she gives his hand a little squeeze, and tugs him towards the movie theater. ]

We can go cheesy and terrible.

[ Yaaay. She gives him a little smile and pays for their tickets (because that's how she rolls).

The movie is terrible, but she was right- terrible in the best way. It's entertaining, and entirely riffable, and with the theater nearly empty thanks to the movie's dismal reviews, she doesn't feel too bad about leaning over and making snide remarks.

She likes making him laugh. ]

[ Peter's glad for the relatively empty theater, because at one point he actually snorts at one of Maya's jokes, and he has to give an apologetic shrug to one of the few moviegoers who turn to glare at him.

He has no idea what's going on for most of the movie, too distracted by Maya's running commentary. All he knows is that there's a lot of shit going on, and there's a dude whisper yelling, and Channing Tatum is a dog person?

Who the hell knows.

By the time they're leaving, he feels like he has more questions than answers, and he shakes his head. ]

Wow. That was really bad.

[ She reaches for his hand again as they walk ] But I at least hope you enjoyed yourself.

Yeah. It helped that you had, like, a Mystery Science Theater thing going on. Not sure if I woulda enjoyed it otherwise.
