Nah, it was fun. Seriously weird movie, but the company made up for it.

You know, if I recall, I think I owe you a trouncing at video games.

[ He wrinkles his nose at that. ]

[ He shrugs a shoulder. ]

In that case, I'm looking forward to it.

[ And when they do finally make their way back to her apartment, she invites him inside. (After a quick check to make sure Lilith isn't around, which she isn't.) It's a simple two-bedroom affair, decently clean, with bookshelves fucking everywhere.

There's a Playstation hooked up to the TV, and a few games and blu-ray movies strewn about. She motions towards the couch ]

Make yourself at home. Can I... uh. Get you anything?

[ Damn. She really likes books.

He takes a seat on the couch, shooting her a smile. ]

Maybe a glass of water? I know, I've got expensive tastes.

You're going to drink me out of house and home, aren't you.

[ But she grabs a couple of glasses and fills them up, offering him one as she comes to sit down. She follows his gaze to the bookshelves ]

If you're wondering if they're all mine... ah, they are.

[ She totally read his mind. ]

-- Seriously? Wow. You should, like, run a book store or something.

[ A laugh ] So I've been told.

Mm. So you seriously don't have any plans for tomorrow?

[ He spreads his hands. ]

Totally free. Unless you count, like, vegging out as a plan.

... Okay, good.

[ it's at that point that she leans over to kiss him ]

[ -- this totally catches him off-guard, which is why he freezes when their lips first touch.

But after that initial shock is past, he's totally kissing back. He keeps it chaste, though -- he doesn't want to send the wrong signal, make this seem like he's looking for a one-off or something. ]

[ She has no such compunctions about "signals", and pulls away a little, eyes sweeping over his face ]

In that case... would you like to stay the night?

[ He pauses, wants to say, Fuck yeah, oh my god, why is that even a question--

But instead he nods -- mutely, at first, but then he swallows, trying to alleviate his suddenly dry mouth. ]

What about your roommate?

[ She leans in to press a kiss to his neck ]

Out. She's at her boyfriend's for the weekend.

[ Ah.

It's kind of hard to ask, Hey, this isn't just a one time thing for you, is it? 'Cause I kinda thought we had a good thing-- when her lips are pressed against his neck just so, and all he manages is a soft noise at the back of his throat. He tilts his head to give her better access, reaching out to put his hands on her hips. ]

Lucky us, then.

[ She manages a soft "mm-hmm" against his skin, as she kisses her way up to his jawline, where she pauses for a second ]

Sorry. I just--- I've been wanting to do that all night.

[ He laughs, quiet and breathy. ]

Hey, I'm not complaining, am I?

[ And this time it's his turn to lean in and claim a kiss. ]
