[ When he says that, she blushes in a way she hasn't blushed since the early stages of their relationship, and she laughs as he picks her up and spins her, arms looping around his neck. ]
[ He sets her down and pretends to look puzzled. ] Has it been very long? Jeez, I hadn't even noticed.
[ He says that, but he also has a book filled with pressed blue flowers, courtesy of Groot, that says otherwise. One month, eight days, ten hours, and the longest twenty-seven minutes of his life were enough to amass a small collection. ]
[ It's not a suggestion, because she grabs the collar of his shirt and pulls him into a kiss. It's a kiss that says "I love you" and "I missed you" and "I would be totally cool with it if you wanted to do this for the rest of the day". ]
[ He was in the middle of a smartass reply when she yanks him down, so at first he makes a surprised "Mrrf?!" sound against her mouth.
But then-- yep. He remembers why he liked kissing Maya so much, and why a long distance relationship would never work, because he'd probably just go chasing after her, wherever she happened to be in the galaxy, because making out is so goddamn excellent. He relaxes against her and returns the kiss wholeheartedly (I know and I missed you too, and Don't you dare tempt me).
From somewhere in the direction of the Milano, a gruff voice yells, "Holy-- That's disgustin'. Get a frikkin' room!" and Peter is obliged to flip Rocket off, not bothering to break the kiss. ]
[ Immediately, ] I missed you like fucking crazy, and I'm pretty sure Groot took it on himself to implement Operation: Cheer This Dumbass Up, and I kept saying really funny shit only you weren't there to give me pity laughs and it made me sad every time, and have I mentioned how goddamn hot you look?
[ She just. Grabs him by the wrist and drags him off.
Opportunity is fucking huge, and it was designed to house more than robots and engineers. It was meant to be Handsome Jack's shining city (and monument to his ridiculous ego), but the Crimson Raiders had taken it over and were slowly converting it into Sanctuary 2.0. A few people were already living in the apartments, though not many.
It takes a while to find the apartment she has a key to- everything kind of looks alike and it's easy to get turned around. That and thinking about all of the things she would very much like to do to Peter are quite distracting.
When she swings the door open, she only takes a moment to notice the fact that it looks like a model home almost- never lived in, but fully furnished with everything in sterile whites and light greys. The moment passes and she's turning to shut the door, and pinning Peter against the nearest wall to kiss him soundly in one fluid motion. ]
[ For the second time today, he's starts to say something (this time something about the decor) when it turns into a quiet "Mmph" as Maya kisses him. He pulls back briefly to put on a look of mock outrage. ]
Is this gonna be a thing, now? I start talking and you just grab me and snog me?
[ Yep, he definitely saw that coming, and he sighs playfully. ] This is gonna backfire on you, you know. You've pretty much given me a reason to never stop talking, if this is how you shut me up.

God dammit, I've missed you so much.

And they might be the most adorably classless couple in the entire galaxy.
But she holds onto that kiss for a while, and when she finally breaks away, she doesn't go far. ] What was that about not noticing?

Not that I was keepin' track, or anything.

[ She steps closer, pressing right up against him ] But I guess since we've got the whole place to ourselves, there's no real need to be quiet.
