[ Unlike meeting at the base, when they arrive at the bar, they'll find that Kasumi has not beaten them there. The doctor's lab was chock-full of amazing tech, after all, and in the first place she couldn't leave his terminal without snooping through a few other files, first. That, combined with having to hack through security protocols to physically take some of the tech away from their stations, and then having to serve up another good dose of Overload at the merc captain as he comes back to and finds her in the labs on his way out.
But she gets away, like she always does, and she's really glad that her apartment is just a hop and a skip away, because she stops by to deposit the booty before heading on over to the bar.
Which is why she was not anywhere to be found for the next few minutes when Peter and Maya arrive, but soon enough, she's there, and she spots them by the bar holding hands. Adorable. It's crowded enough that she's able to slink up next to them like she came out of nowhere without even using her cloak after weaving through spaces between people and briefly hiding behind an elcor. ]
[ The big guy in question is having drinks and playing cards at a table towards the back of the room, which Peter gestures to. ]
I know you've been making googly eyes at him ever since we first met, so if you really want to? Go forth. Squeeze his muscles, or whatever the hell it is you want to do to him.
Please, Goto. I can practically hear your inner thoughts, all like, Oooh, Mr. Drax, ooooh. The hood makes you hard to read, sure, but man are not subtle about staring.
[ Kasumi could very well say something along the lines of, I think you were mistaken about who I was making googly eyes at, but okay, she's not looking to stir anything up, so she simply goes with it. ]
What can I say? I love appreciating fine art.
By the way, Maya, you can't just ask a lady about her peripheral vision...
[ Okay, well, Kasumi is gonna pout. And seeing as her eyes are mostly shadowed, she's gotten really good at getting the point across with just her lips, the way she even works a quiver or two in . ]
[ All the same, she turns toward the bar, leaning over, resting her chin on her hand and unceremoniously tilting her head just right at the asari bartender to catch her attention. It works (and maybe Kasumi threw in a smile and batted her lashes a little, but whatever), and the asari strides on over as Kasumi glances back at Peter and Maya. ]
[ Maya orders something fruit-flavored and neon-colored for herself. Funnily enough, it matches her hair, which she wasn't really expecting, but why the hell not? ]
I wasn't aware you had bartender-summoning powers.
[ Well, what do you know, Kasumi's drink is similarly neon-colored and almost matches the color of her lip markings--so neon-colored, in fact, that it almost looks like it's glowing. An asari cocktail, for sure, and it reminds Kasumi of all the times Shepard's stumbled into port observation to drink with Kasumi. Good times.

Hey there. Sorry I'm late.
[ A brief beat. ]
So where's Drax?
no subject
He does-- okay, he flinches, admittedly, bumping into Maya a bit. ]
Holy fucking hell, Goto. Please start wearing a bell.

She puts her free hand on Peter's shoulder to steady him ]
Aw, you don't want to hang out with us? I'm hurt.
no subject
[ She turns to Peter. ]
That's a cute idea, but no.
[ And then to Maya: ]
What? I'm just trying to give you two some quality time together.
[ She's half-serious, half-joking. Although her eyes are definitely still wandering for that big guy... ]

I believe we were promised the first round by your darling sweetie pie, yes?

He clicks his tongue. ]
Man, shoulda been here a few minutes ago, kiddo. You just missed the first round.
no subject
Well, then. The second round's on me. And by me I mean Peter.

You can cut it out with the lip-quivering. Put in your order, Goto.

There's a lot you don't know about me.

Like you and your penchant for drinking poured-out glow sticks, for instance? I can't imagine that's particularly healthy.

Why, are you worried for my health, Star-Lord?
